What is an NFC Tag?

An NFC (Near Field Communication) tag allows you to instantly share information by tapping the tag to the back of a smartphone. No app is required to scan.

What You’ll Need

  • NFC tag keychain
  • Smartphone with NFC (iPhone XS or newer recommended)
  • NFC Tools app (free)
  • A link to share (website, social media, or link page)

Recommended Setup: Use a Link Page

Using a link page allows you to update your links anytime without reprogramming the NFC tag.

Supported options: Linktree, Beacons, UnitLink, or your own website landing page.

Create Your Link Page

Step 1: Create Your Link Page

  1. Sign up for your chosen link platform
  2. Add your links (website, social media, shop, contact info)
  3. Copy your main profile link

Step 2: Program Your NFC Tag

  1. Open NFC Tools
  2. Tap Write → Add a record → URL / Website
  3. Paste your link page URL
  4. Tap Write and hold the NFC tag to the top back of your phone
  5. Wait for “Write complete”

Step 3: Test Your Tag

Lock your phone and tap the NFC tag to the back of your phone. Your link page should open automatically.

Alternative Options

Direct Link: Program one fixed link (website or social profile). Rewriting is required to change it.

Digital Business Card: Use Contact (vCard) to share your name, phone, email, and website.

Optional: Lock Your Tag

Once finalized, you can lock the tag to prevent changes.
NFC Tools → Other / Advanced → Lock tag.

Locking is permanent.
